“
“emotional design is my passion!”
I work and live in Sweden on the island of Gotland, the place of my inspiration. From the very first second, I knew I was in the right place.
About Me
For many years, the Swedish island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea has been a great source of inspiration for me, and many collections have been created here. I love the changing light, the wild nature and the fantastic colours of the seasons.
After studying design at the School of Art Berlin-Weißensee, I completed my doctorate at the Bauhaus University Weimar
I worked as an art director for many international companies and founded the design studio ‘Breitenbach und Töchter’ in 2017.
Over the years I developed my own signature, won awards and take responsibility for sustainable design.
So receiving the “german brand award” for Interior and Living is another award and confirmation of my visionary view of the future.
My big dream has always been to live in Sweden and develop my art and design on the island of Gotland. So off I went.
This island gives me inspiration and passion to create beautiful things.
In 2025 I founded my studio and butik “IRIS SCHUETZE“ for art and design.
From the idea to the product
As a designer, I draw and photograph everything that inspires me, searching for materials and shapes from nature.
But I also include special colours and surfaces in urban spaces in my designs.
My Wallpaper
My passion is patterns and textures.
I am specialised in creating unique, innovative and trendsetting designs for the lifestyle industry.
I find my inspiration in nature. The great landscape of the island of Gotland, the light on the water, rocky coasts, the midnight sun and the special plants are some of my inspiration sources.

My jewelry
Two years ago I started to create Gotland’s nature in my jewellery. I am proud that I can make my jewellery collection here on Gotland and send it to my wonderful customers all over the world.
My art
I was born into a family of artists and started drawing and painting as a child. Then I focussed on different painting techniques during my textile studies and developed my own style. Since then I have explored techniques and materials. In my paintings I also use my self-made colours and natural earth pigments from the island of Gotland.
I mostly paint in nature on the Gotland coast, where I find my inspiration.
